Procurement Manager – Freight
This successful, specialist logistics organisation operates globally with a UK head office and regional offices in Europe, Asia, Middle East and US. Key areas of spend are in shipping and road transport. Traditionally these areas of procurement have been handled on a regional basis. This new role has been created to improve procurement performance across the regions and enable global volume to be leveraged when purchasing services.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in the procurement of freight services, in particular shipping and road transport.
- International experience preferably including Asia.
- CIPS qualified.
- Strong analytical/data skill and systems experience.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; comfortable presenting to and influencing management teams.
The role offers clear opportunities to make an impact and benefit the business. The position will require extensive international travel, (approximately 30% of the time).
