An opportunity has arisen within Corporate Procurement for a Procurement Manager to work as part of a team of 23 employees. The role is one of two generic procurement manager roles reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer.
This is a strategic Procurement role in a large and complex council and will provide the opportunity to do much more and assist to modernise services and ensure that the authority is as efficient and effective as possible. The post holder will be responsible for maximising the social value outcomes for the county with the authority's procurement spend and ways of working.
Candidates should have Level 6 CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or be Qualified to Degree level (or equivalent) in a business / finance related subject.
