Jaguar land Rover's Trading Division is a unique team that has a core function to buy, move and sell products around the world in support of the businesses global manufacturing activities. We are now establishing Export Sales Centres (ESC) in other regions such as China that will enable us to import Chinese or other globally produced components for use in our European manufacturing facilities.
Reporting to the Import Operations Senior Manager, the Data Integrity Supervisor will be the daily point of contact for Jaguar Land Rover plants, ensuring all data within Trading Division Imports is accurate and as needed. Additional responsibilities will be to support in the contract management of service providers and to support Production Purchasing teams to grow opportunities for imported parts. In this customer-facing role, you'll be primarily responsible for managing the transportation of components internationally (by ensuring shipping standards), traceability and delivery assurance to maintain production.
Given the role's heavy focus on data, you'll support engineering change and align this with the manufacturing plant to ensure clear direction on parts shipment requirements. You'll supervise the deconsolidation centre warehouse and governance of logistics processes as well as investigating process failures and stock discrepancies and reporting on inventory levels as required. As part of these processes, you'll work to minimise obsolescence and improve scrap wastage.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Motivated to build on your experience of working within the supply chain, you'll come to this role with an understanding of logistics and warehouse processes, including a record of supervising or managing the logistics service providers involved. In addition, you'll be versed in the bill of materials and change control processes and have both knowledge and experience of material flows needed to meet scheduled demand for a high-volume manufacturing facility. It is also likely that you'll have previously managed inventory and stock control processes, which too will be vital to your success in this role.
