We are recruiting Commercial Managers to join the Commercial and Contracts Management team within MoJ HQ. These key roles will sit within Sourcing, Contract Management or end-to end process teams. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the management of complex procurement, right through to contract.

The size and application of the contracts truly reflect the varied work that the MoJ does. Our work on the prison and court reform programmes are transforming the way justice is delivered. The contracts, projects and procurements within the Commercial and Contract Management Directorate are diverse from IT, Construction to Offender Management tools.

You will be supporting the development of these unique contracts whilst realising savings, ensuring commercial performance, identifying and implementing further opportunities, minimising risks and challenging the business to improve the efficiency of the contracts.

The Commercial Managers are crucial to the Department and will support the Senior Commercial Managers in developing and delivering a range of innovative programmes. We are seeking experienced commercial professionals who can advise, support and engage with peers and stakeholders. Who can assist in developing procurement strategies, business cases, evaluation methodologies, risk allocations and much more.

We are looking for a confident communicator who can quickly establish productive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers. You will need to be organised, have a good eye for detail and trust your own judgement. You will be happy to take responsibility for your own areas of work, but will also enjoy collaborating to solve problems and make decisions.
