My client is looking for a graduate calibre logistics professional who has had exposure to working within continuous improvement/solutions/implementations.
Leading 3PL provider based in the West Midlands.
The Warehouse Engineer will have the following duties:
- Meet with high profile clients to initially understand their business profile, spending time with the operational teams to understand workflows, provide a report on their findings and understand future client needs
Using business data provided by the client, analyse the data to understand key business metrics such as volumes and growth requirements
Perform in depth analysis of the transactional data using iterative techniques determining mapping / allocation and sizing to aid in the concepting phase
Produce high quality presentation packs to present to a client, demonstrating analysis used, rationale for equipment selected and to gain approval for the bid proposal
Working on multiple bids at a time, at various stages of delivery, ensure that the workload is understand and managed well
An extensive knowledge of material handling equipment, its applications and limitations in pallet, case and tote handling, broad knowledge of systems design including WMS / WCS system
Highly experienced in identifying winning concepts
An excellent communicator with great business acumen who can translate the ideas and solutions identified into a language that the client understands
Highly self-motivated team player, that is able to interact with a large group of stakeholders
Work under pressure in an environment where task deadlines or approach to a bid can change
The successful candidate will have 1-3 years experience working in Warehousing in either a PM/CI/Solutions capacity.
Ideally graduate calibre or degree educated.
£35,000 - £37,000 + benefits.
