Job Details
My client, a major central government organisation are looking for a bright, proactive Procurement Officer with at least BPSS level security clearance to support the Procurement team. (You must already hold current security clearance). The role involves working with the team to deliver best value for money and ensure that high standards are maintained while working to OJEU regulations. You will be involved in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on contract documents alongside other team members from pre-tender stage through to completion.
You will need to have a proven experience of leading and managing multiple and varied procurement processes concurrently up to and above OJEU thresholds. CIPS Level 4 Diploma level or an equivalent business-related qualification is desirable. You must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with a high level of numeracy and literacy. You will be an effective communicator, able to work with people across all levels of the team and build positive relationships with suppliers. You will also be experienced in assimilating complex project requirements and constraints into researched, validated and coherent procurement responses.
Key skills;
·Minimum BPSS level of security clearance
·Experience of working in a small but integral Procurement function
·Experience of working with public sector Procurement regulations (OJEU)
·CIPS Level 4 diploma or equivalent qualification
·Effective communicator and able to build positive relationships
·A self-starter with a can-do attitude
