Supplier Cyber Resilience Manager required by our client to support the roll out of their new operating model across Group Procurement working with the Category teams to ensure their key suppliers meet highest standards in terms of Cyber resilience.

As part of a wider corporate transformation programme our Client is restructuring its procurement operations to reflect best corporate practice through optimising it’s spend leverage, raising the quality of its procurement skills and utilising its offshore capabilities to create a highly efficient team. The objective of the central procurement team will be to manage all external spend by the Group and ensure key strategic suppliers are closely monitored and aligned to their needs.

We have a vacancy for the role of Supplier Cyber Resilience Manager within our client’s newly formed Group Procurement (GP) Team. This role will support the roll out of the new operating model across Group Procurement and work alongside the Category teams to ensure our key suppliers meet the highest standards in terms of Cyber resilience.

A major part of this will be helping to ensure our core software and hardware providers meet our cyber standards and so that processes and cyber protection procedures are aligned and ensure the Company provide a uniform approach to all suppliers.

This is a planning, reporting and delivery role, performing a range of activities in tracking supplier performance, maintaining a knowledge of industry trends, ensure the Company apply best practice to its key IT supply base and providing support to the broader GP leadership team.

Role Overview

Working within the GP team, build and maintain an integrated project schedule for the GP Transformation Programme, including specific workstream plans and schedules.

As Project Manager, you will support the Transformation Team in delivering against their workstreams. You will liaise with teams across the GP and the impacted business teams.

You will have responsibility for owning and managing the project plan, including running delivery review.

The key elements of this work will be:

  • The successful candidate will join the Cyber Resilience Programme take a leading role in developing the process, governance and technology to mitigate the risk of a cyber attack via the Company’s 3rd parties, e.g., suppliers, customers, affiliates
  • Ideal candidate: prior experience of establishing a vendor management function (doesn’t have to be in a Cyber context)
  • Procurement experience, preferably at a strategic level such as defining operating models, policies, procedures
  • Good with data, e.g., to identify suppliers who pose an elevated cyber risk
  • Able to conceptualise ideas and communicate the succinctly in written form (PowerPoint or Word) or verbally
  • Able to shape and plan work in an environment where not all the answers are known
  • Experience of working in a decentralised corporate environment; able to manage a diverse stakeholder group
  • Strong attention to detail; a consulting background would be ideal
  • Building strong relationships across Group Procurement and the Business to enable effective stakeholder management throughout the delivery of the programme
  • Strong communication with the project team and across other projects within the organisation to ensure interdependencies are identified and managed.
  • Producing standard and adhoc internal and external reports e.g. providing accurate and timely forecasts on delivery for live delivery and initiatives.
  • Analysing and providing information on the impact of delays, slippage, overruns under runs on resource and cost.
  • Lead planning and governance activities on key GP workstreams e.g. set up, manage and run regular performance reviews with Category Teams for Procurement Initiative Projects.
