If the thought of working as part of a great team on the largest infrastructure project in Europe appeals, here is your opportunity. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in fact, to be part of HS2 - the high speed rail network that will provide the spine of our 21st century transport system and be a catalyst for regeneration. Join our Corporate Contract Management team and you won’t just be supporting an exciting venture that will change the prospects of generations to come - you’ll play a key role in building up HS2 as a company and gain unique experience which will inform your career for years to come.

An incredible variety of projects

The Corporate Contract Management team are responsible for a portfolio of over 300 contracts which includes such diverse services as land acquisition, finance, commercial development, security, engineering expertise, legal support and community engagement. You will be setting strategies and leading a team, driving delivery across complex supply chains and helping senior colleagues to ensure the success of their projects right across the lifecycle. You’ll need strong credentials for success

To succeed, you will need to understand effective contract management strategies, be familiar with different forms of contract, be confident in delivering and enhancing performance, be adept at identifying and managing risk and be able to forge effective relationships with stakeholder communities who often have diverse and sometimes conflicting objectives. This is an ever-changing environment so effective negotiation and supplier engagement skills together with the ability to drive value for money, prioritise and manage change are all key. You will also have a proven ability to lead and develop individuals/teams and embed a culture of improvement which aligns to the HS2 vision of being the Customer of choice for our Suppliers.

It is expected that you will actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
