Our residents trust us to deliver high quality, value for money services every day, across our borough. In today’s financial climate, it’s a bigger challenge than ever. That’s why we need an organised Procurement Officer who’s ready for diverse projects and the task of securing the best possible contracts. It’s an excellent opportunity to build your experience and progress with our team.

Working with our dedicated procurement professionals, you’ll strive to achieve good value services for over 300,000 residents. You’ll be managing medium value projects and supporting larger, more complex projects. There’ll be the opportunity to work flexibly across all departments and categories of expenditure. Whatever the project, you’ll offer expert advice on everything from legislation to best practice and compliance. Responsible for dealing with third party suppliers too, you’ll learn and grow as you provide a professional, customer-focused service.

MCIPS-qualified (or willing to work towards this), you’ll have expert knowledge of procurement within the public sector. You’re used to working on complex, high value projects and managing multiple stakeholders. And you also can evaluate tender responses and use e-procurement systems. Crucially, you have the communication skills to work with suppliers and multi-disciplined project teams. If you have the drive to expand your knowledge, we’ll help you do just that with varied projects and great progression opportunities.

Join us, and you can expect a range of benefits including pension, flexible working, season ticket loan, childcare vouchers and discounts with retailers. We’ll also give you every opportunity to build an exciting career through our development opportunities.
