Here at LV= we have big ambitions to become Britain’s best loved insurer. Along with our customer-centric approach to business, our supply chain plays a hugely vital role in helping us to achieve these ambitions. After all, our Procurement team is not only focused on our finances, but on building strong, mutually rewarding relationships and ensuring we’re continuously improving, making sure we do things better for our customers at every opportunity.
With this in mind, our Procurement team have recently undergone an exciting and revolutionary transformation project to take procurement at LV= to the next level.
“We want to ensure we have the best possible supply chain – particularly in these current times. Whereas previously we were quite reactive, we’ve changed that and have developed more strategic ways of working, adding value that’s enabled us to become even more competitive when it comes to both a cost and service standpoint.” Karl Poulsen, Head of Procurement
We’ve adopted market leading practices, and a structure that focuses on Strategy, Delivery and Supplier development, to help us create greater value as we work ever more closely with our supplier partners to unlock innovation and deliver effective sourcing solutions. Our agile approach to business – underpinned by best practice – means we’re flexible and collaborative when it comes to the way we work. And the changes we’ve implemented are key to ensuring that our business stays ahead of the game.
“We’ve built a team that’s aligned to the needs of the business and focused on what’s important,” continues Karl. “By implementing core processes that strategically support us, we’re able to be informed and agile. And there’s no doubt that we’ve come a long way. As our business continues to grow, we’re striving to enhance our leading-edge capabilities, make our partnerships as effective as possible and deliver great service at great prices.”
Due to the scope and scale of the work we’ve been doing, we’re interested in hearing from talented procurement professionals who want to progress their career within a progressive and ambitious Procurement function.
