Commercial and Procurement Shared Services will enable the partner Councils to achieve their strategic objectives through the delivery of goods, works and services procured externally and to deliver improved value from them whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Highland Council have joined the Aberdeen Councils, a shared service since 2008, to create a new working model which will be a significant enabler in driving efficiencies whilst making better use of resources through combined spend of over £1billion including grant funded spend.;
We have a clear focus on delivering value and innovation using category management and commercial management techniques and spend analytic tools to enable smarter decision making and, where appropriate, strategic collaborative procurement.
We are now recruiting to complete our strategic service at our hubs based in both Aberdeen and Inverness. Digital technology is a key enabler - allowing flexible and remote working whilst staying connected.
