Demand Manager / £42000 / High Wycombe

I'm recruiting for for an excellent company who are currently going through a period of change. With this has opened the door for a Demand manager to come in and make an instant impact on a fast developing business!

Your new role
Align the demand plans for each BU in the DC purchasing plans and coordinate demand and supply discrepancies to generate optimal solutions for the BU

Critical requirements:

  • Accurate and timely demand plan per BU / DC at SKU level, including correct management of SKU status (selling/buying and stock/non stock status) for each BU/DC
  • Minimum obsolescence costs
  • Optimised promotion availability

  • Maintain an integrated demand plan for each BU/DC
    • Coordinate statistical demand forecast for all active items with BU
    • Updated demand plan to include commercial plans and events, in line with M&M
    • Inclusion of item PLC in the demand plan
    • Optimize stocked and non-stocked assortment balancing commercial requirements versus inventory costs
    • Run / Coordinate demand side activities as related to the demand plan as part of the Sales & Operations Planning process
      • Participate in preparation meeting as part of S&OP
      • Assure demand plan is prepared as input and updated as part of output of S&OP
      • Report actuals versus demand plan and improve demand plan accuracy
      • Decide and manage yellow stock activities in coordination with BU/M&M
      • Balance demand and supply of our assortment and solve imbalance between demand and supply in coordination with supply planning and BU demand side
      • Facilitate the cross-functional S&OP process for the assigned Bus
      • Participate/driven improvement projects focused on aligning demand and supply
      • Lead specific demand side projects and coordinate with supply, like:
        • Large campaigns
        • Assortment changes
        • Customer implementations

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5 year experience in FMCG, and or similar business environment with major involvement in coordinating the demand side
  • Experience in supply chain involving serving multiple business units from the same supply
  • Knowledge in implementation an advanced planning process and tools
  • Customer focused
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience with demand planning tool (JDA / AWR preferred)
  • Attention to detail; experienced and confident working with large data files (intermediate level Excel as a minimum)
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Forecasting tools
  • Microsoft office suite (including access)
  • Listening Qualities
  • Stakeholders management
