Your new company
You will be joining a fast growing and rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Co. Armagh who have gained a market leading reputation throughout the specialised industry they operate within. The company place an emphasis on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality standards to maintain efficient distribution and global customer satisfaction. Due to recent developments and new projects arising, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer on a full time permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager and working alongside one Buyer, you will be directly involved with supplier price negotiations to implement cost reduction initiatives across the complete end-to-end supply chain process whilst expediting internal MRP/ERP software for purchasing raw materials for production demand. The Senior Buyer will be solely responsible for maintaining global supplier relationships, outsourcing new suppliers for product improvement and focus on achieving a cost saving for the company. Also, you will liaise effectively with both production and quality departments to draw up forecast plans, control the overall supply chain process and set up new contract agreements whilst consistently reaching set KPI's.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 7 years' buying experience from an engineering related environment working within a successful purchasing, supply chain or procurement team along with strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with global suppliers. Also, experience using MRP/ERP software or an accredited CIPS qualification would be an advantage.
