Travel Category Manager - Procurement - London - £65,000 - FTSE 100

A global FTSE 100 listed professional services has come to market for a Travel Category Manager to join their interval procurement function. You will be joining a revered department with a total managed spend of nearly £1 billion. One of the best things is it as exciting time to join as the department is going through some ground-breaking change and transformation to increase the efficiency of the procurement department.

The Procurement Responsibilities of the Travel Category Manager:

  • Liaise closely with both internal and external stakeholders in order to increase buy in as well as maintaining a level of transparency across the procurement department
  • Develop and implement category strategies that will increase both the efficiency and cost saving abilities of the travel procurement team
  • Manage high level relationships with incumbent suppliers as well as actively sourcing new suppliers
  • Performance analysis and identify key areas for improvements in the current software strategy

The Key Skills And Qualifications Of The Travel Category Manage:

  • Excellent communicator
  • Degree at 2.1 or equivalent
  • Relevant business degree e.g. CIPS
  • Experience in managing the travel category including hotels, flights, and meetings
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Previous work within a change and transformation exnvironment
