A well recognised organisation seeks a new Procurement Officer to support its busy procurement department in the Portsmouth area. This organisation has a fresh thinking approach, prioritises customer satisfaction and its work has a direct effect on the lives of Hampshire residents.
Your new role
Your previous experience in a busy procurement department will drive your success. You will work closely with the Procurement Managers, Head of Procurement and with the corporate departments to deliver savings across indirect categories, which will influence the local community.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working across the full procurement cycle and motivation to develop your career. Ideally CIPS qualified (though not essential), you will have worked across indirect categories and be familiar with large spends. You will have strong relationship skills and be confident communicating with stakeholders, suppliers and other team members. Knowledge of OJEU/EU tendering would be advantageous.
