The Planning Manager, reporting directly to the materials manager, based in Leicestershire will be responsible for all operational and strategic supply chain and purchasing activities within the engineering and manufacturing environment.

Manage inventory per Production Unit to reduce the number of days stock held & increase inventory turns.

Liaise with Master Scheduler in the creation of a master production schedule incorporating customer orders & forecast, through proactive involvement with Sales and Marketing.

Manage inventory per Production Unit to reduce the number of days stock held & increase inventory turns.

Convert the MPS into achievable schedules for production teams, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and review of performance against key measures, in conjunction with first line supervision at operational level.

Co-ordinate the re-planning of production schedules due to short lead-time customer orders, supplier failure etc & ensure MRP alignment to minimise impact on customer satisfaction & provide communication to Customer Services globally of delivery status

Co-ordinate with Purchasing & Engineering to optimise timely BOM changes and material procurement, including management of static data
