A market leading media business requires a Category Manager with expertise on indirect procurement to join their established procurement team based in Central London.

You will be responsible for the execution of all Procurement projects for Group Services and providing support to internal clients of all levels of seniority. Working as the primary input from Procurement, the main purpose of the role will be to create a new strategy to manage suppliers for the following category areas: HR, Property, Travel, Professional and legal services. Engaging with each of the category areas on a regular basis to deliver effective supplier management and savings, use excellent Negotiation skills, the development of pricing options, mitigating contractual risk and deliver savings whilst ensuring service remains at required levels.

The ideal profile will have experience in buying goods/services in the following areas: HR, Property, Travel, Professional and legal services, an interest in Media, Events and Digital Subscription businesses would be advantageous, CIPS qualifications would be desired however not essential. An ability to lead contract negotiations, managing legal discussions on key terms, experience n fast changing environments and be used to change, can work flexibly across London offices and an experienced self-starter who is used to working autonomously.

Must be familiar with general computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of Oracle is helpful but not a necessity and a good underlying knowledge of digital/online platforms for HR and Travel services would be desired.

The role provides a base salary of £60,000 plus a 20% bonus.
