Leading manufacturing organisation in Norfolk, established for over 50 years is now seeking a new Engineering Project Manager to lead the successful Design and Engineering team.
Your new role
Due to the growth of this company, this is a newly created opportunity where you will be working at all levels both vertically and horizontally; from design, product engineering, supply chain, customer relationships and technical support. You will manage multiple projects at any one time from new product development to upgrades on existing units to manufacturing of prototypes, testing and full mass produced manufacture to installations at customer sites. You will oversee the entirety of the project from initial discussions through to product launch providing full support with aftercare during the life-cycle of the products manufactured.
This will involve travelling throughout the UK and visiting offshore manufacturing facility at the initial stages of product manufacturing to ensure all units are produced in accordance to the project(s).
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified engineer with MSc Industrial Engineering and Operations Manager (or similar) and able to read and interpret drawings (in CAD using Solid Works or equivalent).
You be a solutions driven individual with exceptional customer service skills being able to communicate at all levels within the organisation and with external customers. You will have energy and an optimistic attitude to projects where you can lead and manage a team of engineers who are working in various locations due to project constraints. You will be an effective presenter with the ability to understand and translate the business needs of organisations and individuals, you will have excellent communication skills being able to work with customers in a face to face capacity and offering a solutions based concept to their products.
