With scope for home-working up to 1-2 days per week, your main focus will be the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans across a range of spend. You will lead the end to end procurement process for corporate strategy projects and provide advice for transactional sourcing activity. The role will include engaging internal stakeholders, understanding options and risks associated with activities, and supporting supplier relationships in order to achieve superior supplier performance. Working with category experts and UK based procurement teams to identify and implement cost savings, you will be focusing on the strategic management of the category, to develop a supply base and drive improvements. You will be involved in developing negotiation strategies as well as managing supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Experience and knowledge of best-practice procurement and experience of strategic sourcing in a complex setting is essential. With a strong preference for candidates with one of Indirects, FM or HR Category expertise, you will need to be able to demonstrate your strong communication and leadership skills as positively engaging with key stakeholders up to and including board level is vital to this role. You must have experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing others in order to land business change as well as an ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
