This role is essentially the number 2 in the function reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. The team is quite junior and there are many greenfield areas. Covers all areas of spend and operations.

You will need to be able to motivate and mentor a team of three junior staff whilst maintaining a handle on the day-to-day BAU (rolling your sleeves up) and looking at opportunities to improve the ways of working within the organisation. • Negotiate preferential rates for goods and services with a smaller number of more strategic suppliers

Evaluate Value and Manage Waste

  • Through analysis, benchmarking and otherwise, identify the value and costs driven through business decisions
  • Through logical business cases, influence Business Stakeholders to make logical changes which eliminate waste and drive more value

Manage Purchasing Function

- Supplier KYC and take-on processes

- Purchase order through delivery to invoice tracking

- Tracking of upcoming licence renewals

  • Reconcile invoices against deliverables/platform data sources

  • Leadership capabilities
  • Strategic thinking
  • First class stakeholder engagement and management
