Developing leading edge Category Management capability and expertise is central to this transformation, designed to deliver real value, both through the professional management of the supply chain combined with market insight and innovative solutions which will unlock real value for customers and members.

We’re looking for an experienced, energetic, insightful and creative procurement professional to join the newly restructured Procurement team, who is able to work closely with business colleagues and develop excellent strategies for future growth.

Joining the team as a Senior Category Manager, you will report to the Head of Category for Customer Services, and you can be office based on the South Coast or South London, as well as the flexibility for occasional home working.

This role will sit within the Insurance Claims Sourcing function, focussing on spend attributed to Outsourced Products and Aggregators (price comparison websites, etc).  However, experience across these categories is not expected.  If you are an Indirects generalist who can transfer their skills and can demonstrate this ability, then our client will be interested in hearing from you.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:

- Category Management (across generalist Indirects services)

- Leadership & managerial experience

- Blue chip private sector industry experience, ideally Financial Services

- Collaborative and relationship focussed approach to procurement

- Supplier Relationship Management skills

- Demonstrable stakeholder management ability

- Very strong negotiation skill set

- Contract drafting skills

- Creative and dynamic personality, self-motivated with the ability to deliver at pace and drive change.
