Supply Chain Compliance Officer

Your new role
Manage day to day customs clearance for both incoming and outgoing goods and organise paperwork in a systematic manner to allow easy retrieval for customs audits.

Verify C88 and SAD3 forms to ensure all information is correct and if not ensure amendments are communicated to customs agents and updated by said agent.

Manage Inward Processing Relief Process ensuring that the company complies with customs requirements, submit reports quarterly to customs for IPR and maintain list of commodity codes on IPR list to ensure maximum duty relief allowed.

Review commodity codes for raw material and finished goods, applying to BTI for binding tariffs commodity codes for all company purchases and sales items.

Ensure compliance with any other Customs requirements and keep the company up to date on any legislation.

Take lead on any customs audits as they arise including being main contact person for the auditor and providing any information requested.

Manage contracts with couriers and freight forwarders ensuring the company receives value for money and a high level of service. This includes dealing with any quality issues of damage or non-delivery resolving to the company's satisfaction

Ensure that Supplier Compliance questionnaires are completed each year in line with OI requirements

Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by your Line Manager

What you'll need to succeed

2 years' relevant experience and University Degree or 5 years' relevant experience.
Experience of setting up/maintaining record systems.
Understanding of customs procedures and commodity codes.
Participation in customs audits.
Management of IPR procedures.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

Desirable

Extensive knowledge of Customs procedures & software
Previous experience within the Freight Forwarding / Shipping environment
