You will act as the main liaison point for clients and retailers in matters relating to the distribution business with a view for continuous improvement. To become fully aware of the client's business model, objectives and issues, short and long-term plans, and to feed these plans back to the business for both parties mutual benefit.

Our client is a global leading FMCG company, this particular role being based in North London.

Description

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with; Clients, Local retailers, 3PL providers, Manufacturing

  • Departments in territory and shared services centre

  • Understand the client's needs. Communicate these throughout the business in relation to the agreed service level agreement including any opportunities for additional services

  • Ensuring new release and campaign forecast information is accurate

  • Produce management and client reports as required, co-ordinate and feedback business measures / KPI reporting to the client in-line with the contract.

  • Point of contact for queries from clients, retailers, 3PL providers and the shared services centre.

  • Facilitate special requirements on behalf of the client, and ensure the VAS activities are invoiced.

  • Communicate both pro-actively and re-actively with clients as circumstances dictate.

  • Some overseas travel may be required during the year

  • Develop strong working relationship with key contacts both internally and externally

  • Ability to lead projects and implement action plans

  • Continuous improvement of processes/work instructions/service levels

  • Assists with the development of processes, and reports (e.g. Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Performs special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management or as required for their assigned accounts.

  • Any member of staff may be asked to perform any task (subject to training and Health and Safety requirements) dependent upon the business needs.

  • Other additional duties as required by management.

  • Responsibilities are not limited to the above description and may be modified at any time by the Company

Profile

  • Proven experience in a client facing role preferred. This experience would ideally have been gained within the distribution environment.

  • Understanding of distribution processes with experience of continuous improvement

  • General understanding of manufacturing, and supply chain operations

  • Experience of chairing meeting with clients and being the main point for escalation from the client

  • Evidence of successfully managing multiple KPI's and SLA's through others

  • Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill

  • Ability to analyse data and trends to make educated conclusions and provide recommendations in a clear and concise manner (action plan)

  • Adept at implementing and/or designing statistical metrics

  • Ability to continuously prioritise workload and work under pressure
