A local business based within commutable distance from Doncaster, Hull, Scunthorpe and surrounding areas are looking to bring in a production planner to help with the transition of a new system implementation project with the opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.
Local manufacturing and production business based outside of Doncaster. The business are market leaders in their field and are now looking to utilise improvements made to the manufacturing and production shop floor, where they have increased manufacturing capacity and efficiency by implementing a new planning system that will further improve quality and quantity of the manufactured goods.
Key responsibilities for the role of the production planner:
Production-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing.
Analyse production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
Determine the status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Monitor, analyse & report performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilising information derived from material and production control systems.
Interface w/Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, Production, QA.
Schedules, expedites, & coordinates the delivery & movement of critical material
