Procurement and Contracts Manager, central Leeds, permanent OR fixed term contract

As part of continuous growth of their commercial team, this public sector organisation are looking to appoint well rounded Procurement and Contract Managers to their team, based in central Leeds.
It's an exciting time to join this organisation who are playing a key role in delivering high quality patient care across the nation, with the scope to get involved in high profile programmes with a real impact on health and social care services.

Your new role
As a Procurement and Contracts Manager you will have exposure to the full life cycle of the organisations commercial activity across multi million pound contracts. Initially you will have a hands on role supporting sourcing programmes, category development, supplier relationship management, and contract management; so successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop end to end commercial skills in a fast paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates interested in this role will have a proven track record in procurement, contract management or category management. Although it is preferred that candidates have working knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, an awareness through study will also be sufficient. You must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and proficiency in negotiation in order to ensure value for money, high quality delivery, and mitigating risk.
Candidates with MCIPS qualifications (or working towards MCIPS) are particularly desirable.
