Due to a significant period of growth we are currently on the lookout for a number of Category Development Managers across food, non-food and consumer categories within our Category Development team based here in Chertsey. So irrespective of whether its olives, sandwiches or paper towels that interests you, we have a Category Development Manager opportunity for you.

What will I be responsible for?   

As a Category Development Manager within Foodbuy, you will be passionate about your category and motivated to ensure that we deliver value to all Foodbuy clients as well as ensuring we deliver growth to our supplier partners. You will develop and implement a category strategy whilst building and maintaining effective supplier and client relationships. You will provide effective input into the key steps in the Foodbuy Procurement Framework for your category focusing on start-up, strategy and continuous improvement. As the expert in your category you will drive relationships with clients maximising the value of these relationships for the business.

Is this the right role for me?   

To fit in with us, and for us to be right for you; You will be a purchasing professional with experience gained in a fast-paced commercial organisation. You will have a passion for procurement and the ability to look at clients’ needs as a source of inspiration. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to influence, engage and negotiate at all levels. Proven experience of supplier and client account development and management is key. Whilst not all of our Category Development Manager roles have people management responsibility, you will have demonstrable leadership capability.
