Sourcing and Contracts Manager - General Indirects - Southampton - £45,000

A FTSE 100 listed professional services major is in the market for an Indirect Procurement Generalist with Public Sector experience and a good knowledge of OJEU processes to join a team and guide them through a period of change. By joining this company you will be exposing yourself to a team that is well versed in best practice and an employer that values and invests in its employees.

The Role:

  • Manage and lead key areas including but not limited to spend analysis, prioritisation of projects, and strategic sourcing solutions
  • Identify key areas for cost reduction and implement innovative strategies to achieve savings
  • You will be expected to deliver savings of at least 10% on all areas of spend
  • Liaise directly with key stakeholders to understand what their requirements of the function are, and then relay this effectively and efficiently to the wider team
  • Deliver all work and projects in line with OJEU requirements

The Key Skills and Responsibilities of the Sourcing and Contracts Manager:

  • Extensive experience of the category management process
  • Unrivalled knowledge of the OJEU process and regulations
  • First class interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines
  • Degree educated or equivalent, with relevant business qualification e.g. CIPS
