Global Procurement Category Manager - Corporate Categories (HR, Contingent Labour, Professional Services) - Global Fortune 500 Company - Training & Development Opportunities

Location: Central Philadelphia

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Package

This global Fortune 500 Company has experienced explosive growth following an incredible period of transformation 18 months ago. Having developed their leadership team and defined strategy for the next 5 years, they have identified a need for a strategic and ambitious individual to join their global procurement team based out of their corporate offices in Philadelphia.

Joining as a Category Manager, you will be focusing predominately on the corporate categories, particularly HR and Professional Services. This position will involve both developing and executing category strategies for a range of subcategories, such as contingent labour, tax, consultancy and recruitment. You will be running global tenders and delivering cost savings, whilst working closely with senior internal stakeholders to support business goals by adding value. The global procurement team are based in the US, the UK and Europe, and so you will be collaborating with colleagues based remotely, as well as locally to yourself.

Procurement Experience & Background Required:

  • Experienced in the end to end procurement process, including leading tender processes and negotiations with suppliers, within indirect categories, particularly HR and Professional Services
  • Experienced in developing and executing category strategy, ideally on a global basis, within HR and Professional Services categories
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement; able to influence and work with senior business stakeholders to align procurement activity with business strategy
  • Strong academics; degree (or equivalent) and professional qualifications preferred
