Buyer job in Bristol, £10.00 - £14.00 per hour, temporary to permanent contact
Your new company
A public sector organisation based in Bristol are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their busy team. You will be supporting the Procurement Management Team to ensure that the internal customers receive the goods and services they need in a timely manner.
Your new role
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent supplier relationships, work closely with colleagues in the contracting team to support their contracts when order placing and to keep up to date with contract changes and executing purchase orders against the current contract details.
Your other duties will involve ensuring the appropriate procurement method is applied resulting in best value for money procurement, to undertake quotation exercises in their entirety and to interpret the responses into spreadsheets to assist with the evaluation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience within a buying role, strong stakeholder engagement, a strong track record of negotiation and ideally knowledge and an understanding of the Public Procurement Regulations.
What you'll get in return
This role is being offered with the hourly rate between £10.00 - £14.00 on a temporary to permanent basis.
