My client, based in Leeds, is a large public sector organisation.
The organisation already has a large procurement and contract management department which is rapidly growing in order to deliver as much as possible on their savings targets.
The Procurement Manager - Public Sector, based in Leeds, will be responsible for driving cost savings and procurement programmes across a range of categories and areas.
There will be a number of new procurement exercises to go through and manage from end to end, through the full OJEU process, as well as a number of existing contracts to be renegotiated and re-tendered.
The Procurement Manager - Public Sector will be working closely with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, as well as building and managing relationships with a number of suppliers.
The Procurement Manager - Public Sector will have the following experience:
Public Sector Procurement background
Full OJEU knowledge and hands on tendering experience
Contract management experience
Experience dealing with board level / senior stakeholders on a regular basis
The Procurement Manager - Public Sector based in Leeds is offered on an interim basis initially on a 6 month basis, with a likelihood of extension thereafter.
