Your new role
In your new job you will be a Procurement Specialist, working in a stand-alone capacity for the local team. Therefore, you will have ultimate responsibility for all procurement onsite, as well as the flexibility to set the strategy for the long-term. You will be able to identify opportunities in the market and manage key suppliers / stakeholders to ensure that value for money is maximised. You will be primarily managing CAPEX spend but there will purchasing across various categories, as necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you will have extensive experience in procurement. For this role, you will need to be a strong self-starter, there will be no direct line management onsite, so you will have to direct yourself and complete objectives. Strong stakeholder / supplier management skills are very important, particularly up to a senior level. Manufacturing experience and CIPS qualifications are desirable.
