Procurement Director - Indirect Procurement

Our client a Major Global organisation within the Hospitality and Leisure industry are seeking an experienced Director or Procurement to lead a team of Managers, Senior Buyers and Buyers within Indirect Procurement including Marketing, Corporate Services. Facilities Management and Human Resources This role will also identify and deliver group wide synergies to all the key businesses across the business.

The Role:
This is a global role manage often complex and political sourcing opportunities in conjunction with senior stakeholder management

  • Development and ownership of Indirect procurement strategy in line with the Group Procurement Director's requirements
  • Lead and develop the Indirect Procurement team globally
  • Take responsibility for managing and developing the purchasing process to meet audit and compliance requirements
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with internal customers to meet / exceed expectations including C suite stakeholders
  • Communicate and manage the agreed strategies for the business
  • Identification and delivery of synergies and profit & loss benefits across all businesses
    Manage suppier relationship processes in conjunction with the Operational Procurement Director
  • Responsible for planning, coordination and prioritisation of support for all activities and projects.
  • Manage contract agreements and review where appropriate.
  • Support the Group Procurement Director and deputise in their absence
  • Accountable for full contract coverage in the Contract Management Database for internal sourcing purposes
  • Accountable for developing and implementing cost reduction strategies in procurement annually

Person Specification:

  • You will be a proactive self-starter, demonstrating a high degree of creativity and a desire to raise the bar
  • It essential that you have strong experience in Marketing Procurement and have gained excellent online skills (creative, media, digital) along with other Indirects categories.
  • Experience of managing and developing a multinational team.
  • Detail orientated and credible at C-suite level.
  • Demonstrable high value and percentage profit & loss saving
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar leadership role
  • MCIPS qualified
  • Experience of stakeholder management in a complex decentralised global environment with a high pace of change
  • Ability to lead, prioritise and manage complex projects, workloads and sourcing activities under pressure
  • Ability to manage and analyse complex data under pressure
  • Strong influencing skills at senior level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Language skills would be advantageous in another European language
  • Proven track record of negotiation and strategic sourcing
  • Ability to travel on a global basis
