An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join an expanding organisation in the Sheffield area. This position will provide the successful applicant with the chance to hold full autonomy of the purchasing processes within the organisation.

Description

This role of Senior Buyer will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring Purchasing/Materials Management procedures
  • Assessing central framework purchasing agreements
  • Maintaining terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Produce and analyse relevant reports
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to monitor stock and/or changes in demand
  • Supplier relationship management - monitoring supplier performance
  • Negotiation of better deals - cost vs price principles

  • Profile

    Ideally the successful candidate for this position of Senior Buyer will have:

    • Professional qualifications
    • Previous experience within purchasing in a manufacturing environment
    • An understanding of lean principles
    • Exposure to coaching individuals (team management)
    • Notable achievements around SRM, Cost Savings and Inventory Management.
