A national recycling company is looking for a Driver Supervisor & Assessor to join their growing team at their St. Austell facility

Client Details

Our client is a FTSE 250 organisation and a national leader within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain. As a result of their recent business plan centred around growth they are looking for a Driver Supervisor & Assessor

Description

Directly reporting to the Depot Manager, the Driver Supervisor & Assessor will be responsible for:

  • Being the initial point of contact for all frontline and loader Drivers
  • Comply with instructions and directions from the transport office
  • Instructing and assessing Drivers on the road in regards to health & safety, informing on transport legislation and endeavouring to maximise fleet efficiency and reducing costs
  • To cover for Drivers on the road as and when required
  • Championing a culture of safety and efficiency amongst the Drivers and fleet compliance
  • Liaising with Drivers on a daily basis and resolving any and all disputes confidently and efficiently
  • Monitor Driver WTD and Tachos
  • Constant reporting and compiling of Driver maintenance data and presenting this through accurate use of company systems

Profile

The successful Driver Supervisor & Assessor will possess the following skillset:

Essential:

  • Previous logistics experience of managing a fleet of 20+ Drivers
  • Driver CPC
  • Drivers Digital Card
  • LGV Class 1 Licence
  • Previous experience working within a commercial transport office
  • Proven track record with communicating with drivers and resolving problems

Desirable:

  • IOSH Qualification
  • National CPC
  • Previous industry experience within waste management and/or recycling

Job Offer

The role offers a starting salary of £25,000 - £26,500 based on a Monday-Friday shift pattern. Benefits include 20 days holiday + bank holidays, pension scheme and lucrative company share scheme
