This brilliant opportunity to work with one of the UK's fastest consumer goods businesses. Since the business began a few years ago, they have continued to and are looking for a passionate procurement professional to manage their end to end purchasing in a number of key categories.

This role will be to manage the strategic procurement function with all purchasing and supplier relationship of a variety of manufacturing materials categories.

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a global procurement strategy for the business across all sites across Europe. It will be vital that you are able to work to negotiate on major contracts with suppliers, as well as having day to day working with internal stakeholders. The role will also include:

  • Strategic responsibility for all raw material buying.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 2 buyers
  • Implement a procurement best practice strategy into the business.
  • Assume responsibility for the development and execution of a global procurement strategy that supports the goals and objectives of the company and its customers
  • To drive continuous improvement, best value and quality improvements in challenging existing practices and actively seek ways to achieve better outcomes
  • Manage relationships with high level suppliers and develop new relationships with new suppliers
  • Monitor Market fluctuation in raw material pricing to identify any cost risk or opportunities to the business
  • Profile

    Ideal Candidate:

  • 6 + years in procurement within an FMCG or manufacturing business
  • Experience managing a team of buyers
  • Strong project management skills
  • International sourcing experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive, enjoy working under pressure
  • Excellent communication, presentational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience implementing 'procurement best practice'
  • Fluent in English. Ability to speak a second language e.g. German, French or Spanish would be ideal
  • Membership of CIPS is beneficial
