Experienced Purchasing/Sourcing Specialist, Salary £35,000 - £50,000

Due to internal promotion, a world leading manufacturing firm are seeking an experienced and highly enthusiastic Purchasing candidate to join their ever growing and successful Sourcing team. Your new role
Reporting to the Sourcing Director, you will be responsible for developing new methods and sourcing strategies in line with material requirements to ensure cost effectiveness and achieve large volume savings on an annual basis. The Sourcing Specialist will be very interactive across all departments including NPD, design, production, logistics and planning whilst evaluating the existing end-to-end supply chain processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout. In addition, you will monitor supplier performance and identify new sources of supply by strategically outsourcing suppliers on a global scale which will involve international travel. Also, you will negotiate frequently on material pricing and use internal MRP/ERP software to analyse inventory forecast plans.

What you'll need to succeed
Your degree qualification and previous 5 years' experience in a Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing or Continuous Improvement role will lead success with high volume sourcing on a global scale and experience managing an annual spend in excess of £8 Million. Also, examples of successful price negotiation will be highly beneficial along with a flexible approach to problem solving and a working CIPS membership is desired.
