Procurement Category Manager | Global Financial Services Business | Bristol
This leading multinational financial business is going through a very exciting phase in its Procurement lifecycle, with a newly enhanced digital transformation strategy and a steadily growing team here in the UK.
As part of their planned growth they are looking for a Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing strategy across IT, Goods, Services and Print. There will be a large focus within this role on SRM, with a natural lean now towards digital agencies as their move towards a “paperless” business environment gathers pace. You will have the proven ability to lead and negotiate sourcing projects, developing clear and detailed sourcing plans and drafting, negotiating and agreeing clear, concise, and complete contractual documentation. You will provide assurance of supply and cost competitiveness by executing category strategies that increase value, building effective supplier relationships to meet the needs of the business. You will work with the wider procurement team and local business partners across Supply Chain to drive change and service improvement with an emphasis on getting more for less.
This is a chance for someone with proven expertise within Procurement and SRM to make a visible impact at the forefront of the business. You will need to have a high level of commercial awareness and some good technical knowledge, ideally from and IT Procurement standpoint although this is not an essential requirement.
Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills are a prerequisite of this role and you will have the determination and mindset to drive transformation and change within your categories.
