The Stock Control Manager will lead and manage the stock team, minimise exposure to stock loss and excess stock via effective PI cycle counting routines and root cause analysis processes. The role will be based in Merseyside and will be on a Monday - Friday day shift. Only applicants with Stock Control experience within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector will be considered.

The role of the Stock Control Manager:

  • Accurate Management of Stock Control System ensuring stock loss is kept within budget.
  • To safeguard all PI checks are followed and are managed and to establish root causes for stock loss.
  • To identify development and training needs for all team members providing support and resource to ensure maximise potential.
  • To support all site activities such as: health and safety, environmental and legal requirements are met and the company values are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Plan, implement and execute seasonal peak plans that support branch to deliver great service.
  • Code checking responsibility for ensuring stock is dispatched within minimum life to customers.
  • Where required plan and organise company stock takes in line with agreement with senior managers.


The successful Stock Control Manager will have:

  • Previous experience in a stock / inventory management role is essential
  • Operational background within an FMCG environment
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Be proactive in regards to stock changes throughout peak periods

Job Offer

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: Monday - Friday (days)
