Project Buying opportunity
This position is a pivotal role in the procurement function of this market-leading commercial business. Working as part of a best practice procurement team, this role would suit an experienced Buyer or Project Procurement professional who thrives in an autonomous and busy environment.
The key purpose of the role relates to securing quality suppliers of materials, services and misc spend whilst obtaining maximum benefit for the company. Operating in one division of this hugely successful multi-national business, you will assume ownership of key areas of spend for the procurement function across a variety of activities and ensure these are aligned to operational objectives. The role will manage suppliers to meet key objectives, measure & monitor supplier performance, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and will require high levels of involvement with stakeholders across the organisation.
Previous procurement experience is essential with the ability to manage multiple project streams key. Strong supplier management and influencing skills and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly a pre-requisite. This role has high levels of autonomy and although initially on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, it does have potential scope to go permanent and develop a long-term career path.
