Senior Category Manager - Two Vacancies - Energy & Corporate Services
An exciting opportunity for TWO Senior Category Managers has emerged to join SUEZ Recycling & Recovery UK, part of a prestigious multinational Company. SUEZ R&R UK is seeking to recruit four new roles to join its Procurement team and play a pivotal role in driving our transformation programme in pursuit of excellence.
Working very closely with the Head of Procurement, the Senior Category Managers role will constitute part of a new Procurement Lead Team for SUEZ R & R UK which will drive strategy, performance and development of capability throughout the team.
As a proven and successful people leader and experienced category manager, your role will be to create a single operational and corporate services category team harnessing the talents of our existing Category Managers.
You will drive, coordinate, structure and optimise the people and resources needed to develop and implement category plans to achieve business objectives; leverage from Group Procurement arrangements, deliver sustainable cost savings, increased supplier quality and excellent customer service.
This role will also continuously review and improve our category coverage and addressable spend by setting the strategic direction, developing skills and prioritising objectives for our Category Managers and Procurement Officers in negotiating contracts, managing suppliers and aligning category objectives with business objectives.
This role also help ensure that the procurement department develops and sustains an "excellence" brand by driving towards its "Best in Class" vision.
The ideal post holder will be able to demonstrate experience of leading or driving procurement change and transformation programmes, have excellent knowledge of category management tools and techniques, procurement systems and tools, leadership and behaviours.
Having excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) to enable interaction at all company levels and the building of trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders coupled with strong commercial acumen.
Experience of coordinating people, resources and objectives from different backgrounds to achieve challenging objectives along with experience of change management in Procurement or other commercial functions.
The position will require a degree of working flexibility in terms of UK and overseas travel, and in meeting business deadlines.
MCIPS qualified desirable.
Candidates will require a full UK driving licence and good IT skills, including digital technology.
