My client is a food distributor who is looking for an experienced transport clerk to join their team. You must come from a transport background with at least 1 year within the role of a transport planner/administrator/clerk
*Thorough daily briefings and de-briefings of all drivers (including agency drivers).
*Constant updating of systems with accurate and reliable data.
*Communicate with all internal and external colleagues in a polite and professional manner.
*Monitor the daily operational plan highlighting delays and issues.
*Ensure all office administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
*Produce date of KPI reports as required.
*Ensure completion of Pre-used Check sheets by drivers.
*Ensure departure/arrival/EU boards are kept up to date, highlighting all early and late departures to Transport Supervisor.
*Tachograph control for issue and return from drivers.
*Routes leaving at agreed departure times.
*5S's - Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain.
*Updating tipping plans with correct trailer numbers.
*Maintain contact with all live route drivers running late/agency driver.
*Provide and up-date the management quality board as requested.
*Monitoring the real time performance of drivers and the fleet, escalating any area of non-compliance.
*Escalating any areas on non-compliance or failure/vehicle breakdown quickly within the appropriate escalation route to reduce risk in financial penalties being taken against Yusen.
*Drivers doing over their rota'd hours to be escalated to Transport Supervisor.
*Completion of agency declaration form.
*Issue of correct tachogrpah to driver, ensuring that the driver signs for these.
