Your new role
The job of Procurement Category Manager will see you joining the Procurement department, taking responsibility for construction projects. This role will be based in Glasgow and you will be reporting into the Operational Procurement Manager. Initially you will be leading on a specific construction project, managing the procurement process from end to end achieving key deadlines. Specifically, you will be able to reach target savings whilst identifying opportunities to deliver added value.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will gain exposure to different aspects of the business providing a very hands-on role, working closely with particular business units. You will have excellent Public Sector Procurement exposure working in a managerial or category focused role and be able to clearly demonstrate examples of complex OJEU tenders you have lead and with an understanding of Scottish Regulations and EU Legislation. Experience of PCS-T will be hugely beneficial to this job as you will be using it on a regular basis in order to create notices, projects, use and develop.
