Buyer Supporting the P2P Procurement processes for a global pharmaceutical business in London.

Your new company
A global leading pharmaceutical business based in London are recruiting for an expanding Procurement team, who support the international Finance Shared Service Centre. This international business has research and development sites all across the globe and have won awards for the great work they are doing within the drug pharmaceutical and medicine arena.

Your new role
As the Buyer, you will not actually be doing the buying with suppliers, but more so overseeing the procurement compliance and procurement policies globally. You will be partnering with global stakeholders, to ensure that the processes and guidelines are being followed before they order goods and services from suppliers. You will help to deliver the "best in class" procurement service across 20 + countries globally. Any time the business order from a supplier, the relevant documentation and contracts must be in place and maintained to ensure the business is protected.

You will therefore be responsible for ensuring these documents and processes are aligned to allow the smooth-running of the procurement and finance functions. You will have a mixture of both operational and strategic responsibilities, including building trust between the "procure to pay" (PTP) and accounting teams across both Europe and the USA.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in an international shared service environment and knowledge of Oracle is an advantage. You will have a fine attention to detail, in order to effectively manage and update systems, documents, and train stakeholders effectively. You must be a strong communicator to get the stakeholders on efficiently as easily as possible.
