1st Executive are currently working with a FTSE 100 Global Pharmaceutical Organisation who have embarked on a huge trade and compliance transformation programme across the business. With the forthcoming changes to EU Regulations impacted by Brexit they have a position open for a 2 year project to drive and deliver the businesses response to Brexit from a customs perspective.


  • Delivery of the customs Brexit work-streams including Free Trade Agreements, Customs master data and authorisations
  • Customs analysis of key Brexit developments
  • Ensure plan is in place to deliver continuity of supply and compliant customs duty position post-Brexit
  • Maintenance of customs data impact analysis
  • Responsible for understanding process and Brexit risks and ensuring that they are identified, mitigated , controlled and reported appropriately
  • Work with customs work-stream leads and other departments to define appropriate post-Brexit customs organisation.
  • Prepare data required for advent of possible UK-EU Free Trade Agreement
  • Provide relevant Risk Analysis where required
  • Own, update and maintain customs brexit data set

Service Planning and Evolution:

  • Assess, prioritise and deliver Brexit service enhancements or changes to the current Service Portfolio
  • Ensure service delivery post-Brexit is stabilised and quickly delivers in line with baseline metrics and agreed performance
  • Delivery of service elements to plan to support acquisitions or divestment's, implementation of CERPS and other ERP changes, process improvements and risk mitigation

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Manage relationships with contacts in Manufacturing and Supply, Procurement, External Supply, Finance and Site Logistics to obtain and gather data required to support Brexit work
  • Gathering of formal and informal Brexit customer feedback, reviewing performance and agreeing targets and plan


  • Working knowledge of current EU Customs arrangements
  • Good understanding of the potential impact of Brexit on a manufacturing organisation
  • Good knowledge of existing EU Free Trade agreements and preferential origin rules
  • Good understanding of Cost Accounting and Pricing.

  • Good understanding of Customs processes within a Pharmaceutical organisation
