My client is a global Transport and Logistics company who are market leaders in their field. They provide sea freight and airfreight forwarding, contract logistics and overland businesses; with a focus on providing IT-based logistics solutions. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who to gain new business customers, then manage them on a day to day basis and generate profitable revenue, by selling their International Freight Services.
Your new role
Reporting into the Branch Sales Manager, your new role will be to to generate new business via telesales & customer visits. Once a customer has been gained, you will then manage that customers work going forward with the aim to consistently grow your customer portfolio & revenue on a month by month basis. The role is very much new business focused initially, with heavy amount of account managing down the line, when accounts are gained.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate must be able to work to target, have strong telesales skills, be able to multitask and build strong relationships with customers, whilst being commercially astute. It would be favourable for the successful candidate to have 1-2 years' experience in a role involving telesales or face to face selling, but enthusiasm and confidence on the phone are the most important traits for this role.
What you'll get in return
You will get a competitive base salary of £19,000 per year with uncapped commission, plus company car and mobile phone. After you hit targets agreed with your manager you will have opportunity to increase your base salary up to £50,000 through several increments. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5.15 pm with a like minded, enthusiastic workforce.
