Procurement IT Vendor Manager To design SRM framework for leading bank London, Perm, c. £60,000 - 70,000

Your new company
clients, including lending, wealth management and securities trading. They are a FTSE250 company, with operations running from the heart of the City of London. At the core of their values is to build sustainable and lasting relationship through their business. Therefore, as their portfolio increases so has their need for a new supplier management framework to help consolidate and streamline their internal processes, which is where your new role has arisen from.

Your new role
In your new role you will be taking ownership over designing and implementing a new Vendor Management framework, for the bank, with an IT focus. You will be solely working with the technology team, to consolidate vendors and therefore produce increased efficiency in the cost base of their PSL and other approved suppliers. This will give you a chance to interact with the business and work with them categorising the services, analysing the best way forward, persuading the business to alternative options and putting a plan in place to implement a future framework. You will also be involved in creating a centralised contract database. You will also be closely involved with the Governance function to build new strategies on mitigating risk that will be incorporated into the overall delivery of the SRM policies. You will be in a leadership position to roll out the programme and will be held accountable directly to the CIO.

What you'll need to succeed
This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Supplier Manager with experience putting processes in place to manage Governance and Risk. You will come from an IT Vendor Management background, understanding all the sub-categories of the function and experience in sourcing and negotiating with a full range of said suppliers. You will have a proven track record of gaining buy-in from internal stakeholders and working with them to produce a commercially viable plan to drive continuous improvement, drive cost efficiencies and deliver against the business requirements. Your communications skills will be strong, and you will have large project management experience. Ideally you will also have financial services industry experience, but you can come from an overall background within professional services or blue chip companies where challenging stakeholder engagement skills where required. You must also be eligible to work in the UK.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive London base salary with a good package to compliment it. You will have the opportunity to embed a new direction for the business, in terms of their vendor management strategy and have an influential role where you will interact with c-suite stakeholders as well as suppliers and the overall business.
