Your new role
This position will be working closely with purchasing, operations and production. The role comprises of monitoring the performance of a range of suppliers and assessing quality parts processes.
This role will also contain responsibility for supplier audits and will develop new suppliers as well as improve existing.
Based within a small team, the successful candidate will be influential in improving OTIF statistics and will be reactive to changes in stock or buying patterns to ensure optimisation of best practice.
- Developing supplier base
- Data analysis to determine potential improvements for stock turns and lead times
- Ensure suppliers are compliant with ISO:9001
- Detect issues with existing suppliers and adopt root cause analysis
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have most of the following competencies:
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems
- Strong MS Excel capability
- Experience of 'pull systems' or KANBAN
- Comprehension of engineering drawings
