About the Client:

My client is a leading Multi-National Energy & Utilities Provider who has a strong brand and offers financial strength in a very progressive market. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Category Specialist to join a team, responsible for procuring and managing circa £120 m spend globally within IT Services.  In this role you will support the Category Manager so if you have some experience in this area and are looking to develop your career in a fast paced environment then my client would like to hear from you.

About the Role:

As the in-house supplier expert with external market knowledge you will be responsible for the full end to end category management process within IT Services.  You will negotiate on multi million pound contracts with international third party suppliers and achieve defined improvement to the bottom line and cost savings targets by working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

What we’re looking for:

You require knowledge of end to end Category Management including market insight, business partnering, ongoing supplier management and governance.  Have proven analytical skills and the ability to gather, interpret complex data and summarise and communicate simply and effectively.  Understanding of general and contract law and evidence of managing a category.
