Global organisation based in Ayrshire, are recruiting for a Commercial Specialist on a temporary contract. Following a period of sustained growth, they are looking to build upon current success, by recruiting within their Procurement & Supply Chain team. As such, this is a very exciting time to join the organisation.
Your new role
As an experienced procurement professional, the key responsibility for this position will be to manage existing contracts to monitor supplier SLA's, to improve efficiency and value for money. Managing existing contracts, you will identify opportunities that generate savings and minimise risk. As a key point of contact, you will liaise with internal stakeholders, identifying areas of contractual improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
The person should be a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to resolving any potential issues which may arise in the supply chain. You should be an excellent communicator the ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Along with this, your knowledge of procurement & supply chain and experience of successfully leading commercial negotiations, will lead to your success. CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will work with a well branded organisation that have a clear understanding of the value procurement. You will work within a sociable procurement team and will be paid a day rate of up to £140-165 per day, which is equivalent to a salary of £33,000 - £38,000 p/a. This is a 6-12 month contract, with scope for extension.
