My client is the foremost independent solutions provider to Global Energy Sectors.
Supporting the overall drive for capable and secure supply chains to deliver business needs at optimised total cost through purchasing best practice.
Close liaison with supply chain team to understand supplier performance concerns and potential risk. Support supplier meetings to seek improvement / resolution.
Ensure compliance with internal business controls, and lead purchasing compliance for Artex site using Purchasing Best Practice Policies
Support resource options for both cost and supply continuity initiatives in conjunction with Central Procurement - Key commodities will be led by Central Procurement, ancillary products will assume autonomy.
Create opportunities to improve the supply base by identifying and developing innovative ideas with cooperation from suppliers. Create transparent understanding of lead-times, stock holding and flexibility within the supply chain and work with suppliers to minimise risk and improve service.
Provide a professional negotiation service for business operations.
Lead (and / or) be a member of cross-functional business projects and to contribute to their successful conclusion, in particular around NPD
Support the Company's Policy Deployment goals by pro-actively participating/delivering commitments.
Role will require UK travel / some overseas travel to visit suppliers and key stakeholders. At times it may be necessary to stay away from home when making these visits.

Min 12-18 months experience within procurement role for products and / or services
Good negotiation skills
Able to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness.
Flexible, able to work as part of team and under own initiative
Strong Analytical skills
